Mr. Le Hung Quoc – Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations (HUFO) briefly introduced the history and current activities on people-to-people diplomatic relations of HUFO and Vietnam – Singapore Friendship Association. He also represented many citizens of HCMC to send her warm wishes on her new tenure.

Ms. Leow Siu Lin shared: “Though I have just come to HCMC but I heard about the close and long-lasting relations between Consulate General of Singapore here and HUFO before.” There have been a large number of activities co-organized by both offices to tie the bilateral relation as well as many delegation exchanges between the two countries. She emphasized that she would devote herself to maintain those precious things and promote more activities to celebrate the 40^th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Singapore. Currently, she is studying Vietnamese at Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the hope of having better understanding about Vietnamese culture and Vietnam – her “second home”.
