In order to further deepen Vietnam-Japan relations in the new period, she suggested the two sides, especially the Communist Party of Vietnam and LDP, promote their ruling role in concretizing the high-level common awareness and important contents in the joint declaration on upgrading Vietnam-Japan bilateral relations to a comprehensive strategic partnership for peace and prosperity in Asia and the world.

She also thanked and expressed hope that Japan will continue to create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to live and work in Japan.

LDP leaders and Wakayama prefecture leaders highly appreciated Ms. Mai's visit, and agreed with her proposals on deepening the Japan – Vietnam relationship. They said that Japan always attaches importance to the bilateral ties, considers Vietnam an important comprehensive strategic partner in the region, and is ready to work with the Vietnamese Party and State to enhance the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation in various fields.

They added that the LDP is willing to promote its friendship with the CPV, as well as to support Japan's continued collaboration with Vietnam in industrialization, modernization, economic connectivity and cooperation in sustainable development-oriented areas and international issues.

They went on to say that they support the two countries’ localities and people-to-people organizations to increase exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and consolidate the Vietnam-Japan friendship foundation.
