BASIC INFORMATION
01- Title:
- Hội hữu nghị Việt Nam-Anh Quốc Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh (in Vietnamese)
- The Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam–UK Friendship Association (HVUFA) (in English)
02- Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam–UK Friendship Association is an organization in Ho Chi Minh City, a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations - HUFO and the National Vietnam-UK Friendship Association.
- After consideration of HUFO’s proposal, the VUFA was recognized by the People’s Committee Chairman in accordance with the following decisions:
- Decision No. 510/QĐ –UBND, dated 07/02/2006, making provision for the establishment of HCMC Vietnam-UK Friendship Association.
- Decision No. 511/QĐ –UBND, dated 07/02/2006, recognizing the Executive Committee of the HCMC Vietnam-UK Friendship Association.
03- The VUFA’s functions are in accordance with the Law of Vietnam and HUFO regulations. The VUFA has the legal entity with the private stamp and bank account.

04- The VUFA strengthens the mutual understanding, multi-faceted cooperation, friendship and solidarity between Vietnamese people and British people.
05- The VUFA aims to:
- Coordinate governmental institutions, people’s organizations and societies in organizing activities to boost friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and UK.
- Promote Vietnam and introduce the foreign and domestic policies of Vietnamese government to the British people.
- Inform the Vietnamese people about current issues in the UK.
- Build and develop friendship and cooperation with the UK-Vietnam Society and other UK socio-political organizations, through the exchange of delegations and the media such as photographs, films, publications and so on.
- Support trade and economic links, as well as cooperation in science and technology, education and training, culture, sports, tourism, between Vietnamese organizations and individuals, and their UK partners.
06- The Executive Committee comprises:

5. Executive Member: Ms. TRẦN THỊ NGUYỆT SA, Deputy Manager of Event Department – Ho Chi Minh City Ballet and Symphony Orchestra
6. Executive Member/ Secretary: Ms. PHAN THỊ MINH NGUYỆT, Deputy Head of the External Friendship Affairs Department – Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations
07- Members:
All institutions, organizations and individuals, etc. who agree with the Association’s mandates and voluntarily join in the VUFA and complete the registration process, are recognized as members of HCMC Vietnam-UK Friendship Association (as collective membership - sub-association, or individual membership). Subscriptions are based on the mutual and voluntary agreement.
